Hi from North Carolina
I just joined Stitcher's Showcase. I love samplers, hardanger and most other counted thread work. I'm retired and stitching whatever I want! I also pin needlework for a local gallery, work and teach part-time at Angelwing Needlearts, our LNS, and make beaded needlework gadgets.
And those two handsome fellow in the pic are Earl and Lester, my babies. And yes, they are named after the legendary bluegrass duo, Flatt and Scruggs.

I'm probably one of the few people who remember Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs. Loved to hear them play. Of course, being from Alabama adds more to the story. They were great.
Your needlework is lovely. I've never caught on to hardanger-maybe I haven't done enough yet.
Oh, I wouldn't mind seeing pictures of the little guys. We just lost our little Rose in October. She was a lhasa apso. We're planning to get another little friend when we finally get all the hurricane damage to our house repaired. Then it will be time for hurricane season again!

Thanks for the compliment. You're right...hardanger takes a little practice to get comfortable with.
Re: pic of dogs. I got a note from Ann questioning whether it was a stitching photo, so I decided I better take it down. Gotta follow the rules, you know. It's part of being anal retentive, which is part of what makes a good counted thread stitcher! lol
I'm sorry for your loss. I know how that goes. I'm ready for a healthy dog right now. Earl quit eating about 10 days ago. Vet can't find a reason. Going back for more bloodwork this afternoon. And Lester is a 4 year survivor of a mast cell tumor...minus a left front leg. (He doesn't seem to miss it.) He's my Mr. Social. Thinks everyone who walks or drives by is coming to talk to him! Pugs are soooo funny.
