What about adding Chat?
Is there a way to add a chat box to the site? I belong to several similar sites and one of the features that all the members seem to enjoy are the chat boxes. It allows members to interact in real time and friendships form much quicker than with just forum, or blog posts and comments.
It is also a great way to get members to come to the site on a regular basis just to see who is chatting. As a site owner myself, I find the chat box a great place to help answer questions for my new members and make them feel welcome.

Work is the culprit. Time just disappears and things just slip. But you are right, bring it to my attention if I slip and much better chance of getting it done.

Since I was the one who initiated this addition to the site............I just want to say thanks!
Thanks Elizabeth for being more persistent than I was, and Thanks Jeff for finally getting around to completing this task!

I love the Chat and Flickr features. I am working on tea towels and have to have them completed in time for my sister's birthday, February 28th. I have been pretty busy surfing the Internet. I have discovered dozens and dozens of sites with great tutorials on enough projects to keep me busy two lifetimes. Also want to get back to my blog, still in the learning stage. I will update shortly.

Now that this is activated, we need to figure out a way to use it. I have popped in the chat several times already to find it empty. There was a time when there were a few people in there, but know one wanted to talk to me. :(
How about setting up set times to meet or setting up topics for discussions. Any suggestions on how to get this feature used now that we have it?
It really isn't much fun to talk to myself. LOL
