About Stitcher's Showcase

Stitcher's Showcase is for stitchery artists to interact and showcase their work. It is not a general network and therefore membership is not available to anyone that is not involved in some type of stitchery. If you are just starting and don't have photos to upload that is fine, but please do indicate somehow on your profile page that this is the case so members understand your situation.

Stitcher's Showcase came about after my husband Jeff and I found a great way to setup a network dedicated to a specific subject. Stitchery is one of our interests and we wanted to provide a venue for artists to showcase their work and interact.

We knew what we wanted -

1. The site must be for artists, not manufacturers. We don't mind if people are selling their work, nor that they link to their own website, but the site must not become blatantly commercial.
2. Membership had to be without charge.
3. And we wanted as many features as possible for true social networking.
   

We had a solution so we jumped in at the deep end.

It is very early days and we hope that artists will come on board and help us build a great communtiy.

Over time we want to improve the site and add more and more features for members to showcase their work.

Both Jeff and I hope you enjoy our site, we hope that it helps you with your craft as an artist, and that it helps you develop and further all your stitching activities.
