'Where all Stitchers can showcase their work.'
| Inviting Friends | |
| When you invite friends Stitcher's Showcase will send them a nicely formatted email message that includes some relevant information about the site and an optional message from yourself. There is an example of that email at the end of this tutorial. If those you have invited choose to join Stitcher's Showcase they are automatically made your Friends within Stitcher's Showcase. There are a few methods to invite friends, but here I deal mainly with the simple method of manually entering in some email addresses and an optional message. Stitcher's Showcase does the rest. |

Step 1 There are three main ways to start inviting friends. The Invite tab on the menu bar, the Invite link in you Welcome box in the right-hand column, and the Invite More link below your list of friends in the left-hand column on your page. There is another Invite Friends link on your main My Friends page, but I am sure you get the idea. |

Step 2 When you click on any of these links you will see a page as shown here. You have a couple of options -
If you enter multiple email addresses in the Send To box you must separate each email address with a comma. You can optionally add a message in the Your Message box. When you have done this click on the Send Invitations button and that's it. |

The Email After clicking Send Invitations your invites will be emailed out to your friends and you will receive a message on the screen to that effect. Your friends will receive an email similar to the one show here. |
| Importing from your online Web Address Book or your Address Book Application | |
| If you want to import addresses from your address box simply choose the relevant option and follow the instructions. They are quite simple and you will have the option to choose just who you invite from your lists of addresses. To import from you online address book you will need to provide you email address and password but these are not stored anywhere, just used to access you address book. To import from an address book application on your computer you will have to export the list of contacts first into either a CSV or UCF file format. How you do that will depend on your application but most applications have this option in their File menu. |
