The book is called Creative Embroidery Techniques using Colour Through Gold. Author is: Daphne J Ashby and Jackie Woolsey. I got it a couple of years ago. Great book for color theory and ideas. I used one of their patterns for the piece. I used my own choice of threads though. Hope this helps.

Welcome, Thank you for the kind words. It's not really hard, just one stitch, rhodes stitch, and couching. I could send you the title of the book I got it from. Gotta go to work. Later, Kate

What are your favorite stitching activities?
crocheting
Are there any stitching activities you would like to try or learn more about?
One day I would love to try knitting but ummm 2 needles, crocheting with one just sounds easier lol.
Tell us a little about yourself:
Hi everyone, I am a stay at home wife with 2 grown sons and a beautiful granddaughter, plus my little shadow nokie my maltese ( he is always with me). I love crocheting anything. My mother taught me to crochet when I was about 10 years old and i was hooked lol. I have been crocheting ever since and still love it. I make alot of my own patterns up as I go and then sometimes forget to write the patterns down for later lol.I am always looking for something new to design and create. I also have just made my first quilt, so still learning there. When I am crocheting everything around me just disappears and for that time the stress of the day is far away.
Always remember

Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is the present- that is why it is called a
