This is absolutely gorgeous! I was scanning through the new photos and saw this. I think the gold trumpeting angel in the center is awesome. I have done a couple of Christmas items and have them framed. And a couple more I am working on. I wanted to…

I love this! Is it a Bent Creek? I have done a few of their 'rows'. Recently though I seem to take on big projects. I am thinking of doing some thing like this so I can see a completed project quickly! Nice job

What are your favorite stitching activities?
I love to take photos once a week or so to track my progress. I also love just dragging out all my stash to see what I have and plan what I want to do.
Are there any stitching activities you would like to try or learn more about?
I see other's blogs and works and everyone seems to stitch so fast!!! I try to stitch at an hour a day and think I am making splendid progress but not so much compared to others. What tricks are there that I don't know about?
Tell us a little about yourself:
I am "the organized assistant" by profession. I am a wife and mother of three: two daughters, 33 and 30 and one son, 29. I have always been a crafty sort - sewing curtains, quilts and Halloween costumes, band uniforms and flags. I love being creative and taking the raw materials and fashion them into things. I feel bad for those who don't enjoy the passion. It is such a wonderful outlet and such a sense of accomplishment to create. In addition to cross stitch, and sewing, I enjoy gardening and being outside at all times of the year. I like to do things with my family and friends - day trips, shopping excursions, laughing together. And as if it couldn't get better --- my daughter's are stitchers and knitters too. We love the girls weekends at (what was) CATS or Celebrations of Needlework. I belong to two stitching guilds and am thrilled to be in the company of fellow stitchers. Simply put, someone recently used the phrase with me that stitching comforts her and I agree! Stitching is a comfort to me.

Hi Robin
My store is right outside Phila. I hope that isn't too far for you. We really have a great time on Thurs. nights and we love meeting new Needlepointers.

Hi Robin,

There are so many abbreviations that I can't even keep up with them. Some needlework shops around but the majority of them have to do with needle felting or sewing/quilting. If I ever come across any, I'll let you know.

Hi Robin

Where is South Jersey do you live. Every Thursday night, I have a "stitch and Bitch" at my store. It is a lot of fun and you get to meet other crafters. Hope you'll think about it.

Hello Robin,

My profuse apologies for neglecting to let you know about the postcard swap sooner. There have been a number of factors that have managed to conspire against my getting this running as I would have liked, the least of which my students here in Australia seem reluctant to part with their first cards! Helath issues on the part of myself and my partner have take my focus away from this as well.

I have created another Ning network that is about the swap - but I have decided that I will not push the idea of swapping too greatly with newcomers to the idea... and build the swap network amongst those people who wish a single swap or perhaps more frequent exchanges....

If you would still like to take part and swap with someone in Australia - I would love to add you o my list of "correspondents". All I need from you is an email address so I can send you an invite to the other network and a snail mail address so we can exchange postcards!

My email address is robbie.theloftstudio@gmail.com

Again my apologies,

Kind regards

Robbie

On my Lizzie Kate Double Flips I used Dirty Belfast Linen. But I seen someone stitch it on Kermit Green! It was so cute!

You have a good idea about taking your work with you wherever you go. I do like to get up extra early in the morning and give myself a good hour before I have to get ready for work. I drink my morning coffee and I could stitch but soo early in the morning it is hard to see clear eyed at that time. But I could do it during lunch. I may try that. Thanks.

Ive been stitching for about a year and my stash is bigger then my finishes! And every time I go to Salty Yarns I have to buy more, and I go every week! My craft room is getting full. I need to stitch faster!
